Background The Immaculate Conception High School is located at 152 Constant Spring Road, Kingston 8, Jamaica. This school was founded as part of the Immaculate Conception Academy in January 1858, and celebrates 150 years of existence in 2008. ICHS is an all-girls school which maintains high standards of quality in education and discipline. The school motto “Ad Astra per Aspera” means “Through Difficulties to Excellence”, and students are encouraged to always strive for excellence, and to be the best that they can be in all they do. The Alumnae Association The Alumnae Association was started in Kingston in 1932, and other Chapters were subsequently started:
These Chapters allow past students in these areas to plan and participate in activities that contribute in various ways to foster the school spirit, give back to the school, and connect with other ICHS alumnae. All past students are encouraged to become involved with the association nearest to them, and to actively participate in activities. A bulletin, which provides updates on activities of all Chapters, special events, and other announcements, is sent monthly to all persons on our electronic mailing list. If you want to be added to the mailing list, send a message to ichsalumnae@hotmail.com with name (maiden also), year of graduation, and present location.
